Remuneration
Independent Audit & Assurance Committee Member - £5,317 p.a.
Chair of Investment Committee - £10,923 p.a. (commence as a Co-opted Board Member March 26 for 6 months [£2,545 PA] / Join Board and Investment Committee Chair Sept 26)
Expenses
Reimbursement of reasonable expenses to attend meetings and events, including travel costs to and from meetings.
- Transport Costs: First 10,000 miles – 45 pence per mile After 10,000 miles – 25 pence per mile
- Public Transport Rate – 23.8 pence per mile
- Motorcycle Rate – 24 pence per mile
- Car Parking - Actual cost
- Overnight Hotel accommodation - Booked by the Company following prior agreement with the Community Housing Chair
- Special Transport for a Member with Disabilities - Actual cost

Training and Support
We will support you to make sure you have access to the relevant information to undertake this role. Training will be provided to support you, including a range of online training courses and bespoke training dependent on your individual requirements.

Time Commitments
Board Members are expected to have the capacity to be able to commit to fulfilling their duties and responsibilities as effectively as possible. They are also required to attend the equivalent of up to 5 days’ induction training in the first 3 months following appointment.
After induction, being able to commit around 4 days per month to the role to include:
- Effectively preparing for, attending and participating in formal Board and Committee meetings (plus panels, working groups and any special meetings called from time to time).
- Attending the AGM, away days and training activities.
- Proactively maintaining good communications and effective relationships with all Board Members, the Chief Executive and other members of the Executive Team.
- Attend meetings, as and when required, with the Chair of Community Housing Board and also the Chief Executive and members of the Executive Team
- Participating in ad hoc discussions and electronic communications between meetings with other Board Members and employees.
- Preparing for and attending (including occasionally speaking at) Community Housing events.
- Participating in other ad hoc events such as Board Member and senior staff recruitment, meetings with Regulators, etc.
- Preparing and attending own annual appraisal meeting with the Chair of CH.
